This Is Our Body: A Call for Collective Action

In a time when women's bodily autonomy is under siege, the voices of women of color are more essential than ever. This is my body creates a powerful platform for healing, storytelling, and transformation—offering women of color a chance to reclaim their narratives and own their truths.

This is my body has touched countless lives since 2018 through writing workshops, mentorship, and live performances. Now, we need your help to ensure that this year’s program is free and accessible to all.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 by January 31, 2025, to fully fund our 2025 program, ensuring all costs are covered, including program fees for all participants, facilitators, venues, and materials.

Together, we can tangibly support women of color and amplify voices that must be heard.

Support women of color

While donations to 'this is my body' are not tax-deductible, your contribution directly empowers women of color to share their stories, heal, and inspire change.

“Completing the this is my body program was nothing short of empowering. I left a part of me on the stage, that part that I needed to shed. I feel seen, I feel heard, I feel in my body.”

Shemika Lamare

“I am constantly living in a world where I am not seen nor considered. This is my body taught me I am allowed to exist, that I have a story.”

Farial Eliza Nazari

“This process allowed me to work through my trauma and acknowledge my strength...Performing my story felt as if I had redeemed myself and found all the strength, courage, and silliness I forgot.”

Madiha Khan

We value and appreciate every donation. Every dollar ensures that the impact of this program continues and that women can declare, “This is my body, my story, my power.”
